The latest trend in online start ups is following the “funding and popularity now, profits later” model. Stumbleupon started this way and have now begun monetizing their site by offering advertising and sponsored membership.
Problems:
This model works for some ideas, especially those that gravitate users to a specific site or area. But monetization becomes more difficult when users are spread across multiple mediums.

I work from home, and it’s absolutely great. But with the freedom and flexibility comes distraction. Here are my top ten distraction that can loosely be considered work.

10: Google- Yes, I spend a lot of time searching random words to see what comes up. It’s ok because I’m doing keyword and niche research!

This post has two meanings. The first, SEO’s need to stop complaining about who said what about SEO’s. The start of this conversation was interesting, when Calacanis said that SEO is on it’s way out.
